Qualification of an assistant of a pedagogue and their role at educating Roma pupils.

The thesis deals with educational assistant requirements, which are necessary for the performance of this profession. The theoretical part presents basic concepts associated with the researched issues. Initially, it characterizes upbringing and education. Subsequently, it presents the most common disorders that occur in Roma children, such as mental retardation or ADHD. An important chapter is the Roma pupil. This part presents the history of Roma education, their specific attitudes to gain knowledge and also the Roma language itself. There is also a chapter about educational assistants. The practical part is based on interviews with educational assistants and case studies of Roma pupils, which closely specify the need of the assistant and his activities in the educational process. From evaluating the interviews, it is clear that apart from the qualification requirements, personality prerequisites also play an important role.
Socioculturally disadvantaged environment and its influence on pre-school child

SUMMARY: The thesis describes a situation of the part of inhabitants of the Czech Republic that are currently regarded as socio-culturally disadvantaged. It aims to term factors that endanger a healthy and harmonic development of children living in a socio-culturally disadvantaged environment. The means of child protection are specified on international and national level and the current legislation in this field is reviewed. The thesis also deals with the position of ethnic minorities in the Czech Republic and concentrates on Romany minority. On the example of one city district of Prague is presented the lifestyle of Romany community, their cohabitation with the majority and their usage of Romany ethnolect. Possible causes of formation of socially excluded communities are listed together with social and health risks for Romany people that concentrate in such local communities. The situation in the field of education of pre-school children coming from a socio-culturally disadvantaged environment is described and legislative and executive measures to support their access to education are reviewed. Leisure time activities of Roma children in Tabor

Bachelor thesis of "Leisure time activities Roma children in Tabor" is about the leisure activities of Roma children in Tabor. The work is focused on the history of the Roma, the relationship of the Roma child to the school, the relationship of the Roma minority to upbringing of Roma children. For the most part is dedicated to the non-State non-profit organizations, which are engaged in leisure activities not only for Roma children in Tabor. Further focuses on the Organization of the 1. Kiwajunior Club Camp, and especially on its Fílie project, which is aimed at children from socio-culturally disadvantaged environment, from the children's home Radenín, children from Asylum House for women and mothers with children in Tabor, and thus prevention of pathological phenomena. With the boy, who is involved in the Fília project, case study has been developed. The practical part is focused on the specific ways of spending leisure time activities of Roma children in Tabor, with whom and where leisure time activities they spend, whether leisure time activities the Roma children spend with family or friends, as they represent leisure time activities, whether there are whiles, when are bored.
Cooperation with families of roma chisldren from perspective of teachers from region Liberec

This thesis focuses on the relation of a Roma pupil and a school from the point of view of a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is divided into four subtopics. The first subtopic is dedicated to the Roma in Czech society, their differentiation, the social situation of the Roma, the relation between the majority and the minority, and especially the conflicts between the majority and the minority. The second theme deals with the Roma family, how it looked in the past and what it is today. It also focuses on the education of children by gender and the family's influence on the child's success in school. The third theme deals with the education of the Roma and especially with pre-school, primary and secondary education. The fourth theme describes communication with Roma parents. Stories of roma mothers in the context of the current trends in birthrate

This bachelor work deals with birthrate of Romany mothers that exceeds the average birthrate. This work at first involves reasons which caused that the birthrate wanes in The Czech Republic since the year 1989. Next theme is about a woman-mother, her roles, position in society and above all in the family. Furthermore several interviews with eight Roman mothers of four and more children were conducted. At the beginning of the interview the respondents were asked to narrate their life stories why they are the mothers of more children. The interview shows 3 factors which caused that all eight women have thirty seven children overall. The original family, chance and a new partner. The work also contains the comparison of the results from this research and the results from dissertation written by Jana Valešová, who dealt with the birthrate of a women's sample from Brotherhood's Church.

Department for girls required systematic intensive individual care

Master thesis discusses about the work on the department for girls required systematic intensive individual care in an educational institute in Jindrichuv Hradec. Main goal is to examine what are the problems that girls come to this Institute, which is the family support of these girls and what are the relations of parents and girls. The work is divided into two parts. Theoretical and practical. The first part describes the two departments, which are for girls required systematic intensive individual care, focusing on the theoretical approach of behavioral disorders, individual personality in etopedy care and drug problems, theoretical part concludes with a chapter dedicated to the functions of the family, dysfunctional family a Gypsy family. Social work applied to Roma families from a socially excluded location in Tábor

The objective of this thesis is to analyze the cooperation of social workers involved in social work applied to Roma families in the socially excluded location "Fišlovka" in Tábor, and to outline the possibility of discussed cooperation in addressing ethical dilemmas related to social work with the target group. The subject of this analysis is an attempt to identify the main reservations and barriers of this cooperation and the possibilities of improving it. The thesis also explores the ethical dilemmas that social workers working with Roma families encounter, and the strategies that they most often use to deal with these dilemmas. The thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts that govern the work topic. The practical part offers an interpretation of data obtained through qualitative research that involved nine respondents among social service workers working with the discussed target group.
